We are experienced in the application of SCL Protocol methodologies, critical path analysis, and the assessment of prospective and retrospective delay claims. Our analyses examine as-planned and as-built programmes, time impact sequencing, and the attribution of delay to contractual causation.

We are available to provide delay analysis reports on an expert witness basis, to support discussions in negotiation and mediation, and to give evidence in court and arbitration proceedings. Our services are available internationally across Australia, Asia Pacific and the United Kingdom.

05

Acceleration Analysis

Assessment of the actual and claimed acceleration of works, including analysis of acceleration instructions, actual recovery methods, and the costs of acceleration.

Methodology

Analytical Approach

Our delay analysis is undertaken in accordance with recognised industry protocols and methodologies. We apply the principles set out in the SCL Protocol, which provides a framework for the analysis of delay in construction contracts, and are experienced in the application of critical path methodology, time impact analysis and windows analysis.

Our approach involves detailed examination of baseline and as-built programmes, analysis of actual sequencing against planned logic, review of as-built records against the contract programme, and assessment of causation for identified delays. We use contemporaneous records, including programme updates, progress reports, site records and correspondence, to establish the factual basis for our analysis and conclusions.
