We assess building defects across structural, envelope and systems performance, evaluating defects against applicable standards, specifications and performance requirements. Our analysis extends to the scope of rectification work required and the cost implications of various remedial approaches, providing substantive expert evidence to support dispute resolution proceedings.

We accept instructions for court proceedings, arbitration, adjudication and expert determination. A comprehensive service page covering our broader defects assessment practice is available at Construction Defects Services.

Methodology

Our Approach

Our investigations employ systematic site inspection, documentary review and assessment grounded in applicable standards and performance criteria. We assess the significance of identified defects, their impact on building functionality and durability, and the range of appropriate remedial approaches to address the defects.

Our expert reports provide substantive technical analysis to support litigation, arbitration and adjudication. We are experienced in providing expert evidence in concurrent evidence forums and joint expert conferences, and in addressing technical challenges from opposing experts in cross-examination and written response.
